So You’re Going to FanFest… Now What?

We are two weeks out from the Las Vegas FanFest 2018, and fans are anxiously awaiting the start. There promises to be a lot of fun to be had over the weekend. Square Enix recently published the schedule for the stage events on the Lodestone, but that’s not the only thing that will be happening. If you didn’t end up getting one of the coveted passes to the event but will be in the Vegas area, there are still events for you to enjoy!

A handful of people banded together to arrange a free Stream viewing party at the Bally’s SkyView Room 3 on Friday. You can find more information at the event website.

Later that night, the Limit Break Radio crew will be hosting a massive FFXIV Community after-party at the Luxor’s E-Sports arena. There will be many community members to hang out with, as well as a VIP area where you can talk with a host of Content Creators but you will need to RSVP ASAP as event pass sales end on Nov 5th!

If you won’t be in the Las Vegas area, SE will be live-streaming the events (minus the concerts) on their Twitch channel.

As an attendee of the 2016 FanFest, the official event is a lot of fun. The SE Community team works very hard to put on these events for us, and they do a good job. However the most fun I had during my time at FanFest was meeting other players, striking up conversations with new people about this game that I love, and making new friends. Enjoy your time out there, make tons of new memories, and have fun!

Episode 81 – Alpha and Omega’s Excellent Adventure!

This week, we continue our discussion of the Patch 4.4 story lines by discussing the Alphascape. We bring back the Lorebrarian’s corner as well where Seyrr talks about Ninjas in Final Fantasy, and compares them to their real life counterparts. We also talk about the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV Content Creators’ After Party on November 16th in Las Vegas, and Extra Life Game Day 2018 on November 3rd! Enjoy!

Episode 80 – Ancient Ascians, Go Figure!

This week, Klauss, Seyrr, and Chille break the spoiler embargo on the Patch 4.4 story line. We then speculate what these events may lead to moving forward, and what this means for the lore of the world. Chille gives us an update on the GoFundMe campaign to get him to FanFest in Vegas, and we talk about the upcoming Extra Life Game Day stream. Please enjoy!

FFXIV Fan Fest 2018 – What we know so far

FanFest 2018-19 Logo

If you were like many anxious Final Fantasy XIV players out there, you have been waiting for Yoshida and team to announce more information on the upcoming FanFest 2018-19. Our prayers have been answered, and we now know when tickets for the Las Vegas event will be going on sale.

On July 10th, 2018 players will be able to sign into the Festival site (https://fanfest.finalfantasyxiv.com/2018-19/na/) and purchase tickets to this amazing event. According to the FAQ, each ticket will cost $150, and players will be able to purchase up to 4 tickets per order. Tickets are non-transferrable, and non-refundable. Every attendee will receive a goody bag as well as a brand new SDX Fenrir mount and a yet-to-be-announced minion exclusive to the NA Festival.

Hotel discounts at the Rio All-Suites are currently available for attendees by booking your room through the following link: https://book.passkey.com/go/SRFFF8

If you won’t be able to attend, fear not as Yoshi-P also announced all events (minus the concerts) would be available via live-stream for free, so all Warriors of Light will be able to enjoy the festivities. The mount and minions will also be available for purchase on the MogStation at a later date. There does not appear to be a premium streaming package available this year, a change from previous years events.

We plan to put together a series of articles for would-be attendees to help prepare for and enjoy FanFest to the fullest, so {please look forward to it.}
