Deep Dungeon releases July 19th

From the Lodestone, as well as a Tweet on Matt Hilton‘s Twitter feed, Patch 3.35 which includes the highly anticipated Palace of the Dead is scheduled for a July 19th release. In case you’ve been living under a rock, the Palace of the Dead is the new Rogue-like dungeon which will pit a party of up to 4 adventurers in a random series of floors littered with treasure, traps, and monsters galore. What will we find at the bottom? Only Yoshi-P knows! Make sure to clear your calendar, take the day off, or if all else fails, call in sick.* 😀

*Phoenix Down Radio does not ACTUALLY endorse calling in sick, but hey, who are we to tell you what to do? 😀

World of Final Fantasy set to release October 25th

Shortly after releasing news about the Final Fantasy XII HD Remaster, Square Enix announces the release date for the upcoming World of Final Fantasy game for PS4 and Vita. Announced on the Final Fantasy Portal app, the NA release date is set for October 25th, 2016.

In World of Final Fantasy, players lead a pair of twins, Reynn and Lann, through the land of Grymoire to search for their lost memories. Throughout their adventures, players collect, raise and battle chibi-versions of classic FF characters and beasts, including cactuars, chocobos, behemoths, and more.

Final Fantasy XII HD remake confirmed for 2017

I find it funny, because we were just talking about this last night in my FFXIV stream. The US and EU Playstation blogs have confirmed that a new Final Fantasy XII remake, titled “The Zodiac Age” will hit the PS4 in NA and EU in 2017.

Similar to other FF games that have received an HD tune-up, the game will feature enhanced graphics, faster load times, an auto-save feature, and a newly recorded soundtrack. FFXII will also feature an enhancement on the License board system. Similar to the International version, the new zodiac board will have 12 distinct license boards that can be assigned to each character giving them a unique feel.

I am happy that FFXII is getting the HD upgrade, but I think I will personally wait for it to be released on PC. What are your thoughts?

Full Patch 3.3 notes are available

Now that we’re in maintenace mode, the full patch notes are available for your perusal. There is a lot of information to go through, and a lot of welcome changes and additions. Among the new tidbits of info released, we are getting 30 new Orchestrion rolls, a number of new minions are being added, and the Nidhogg EX weapons are confirmed i235. However the NA patch notes do not say anything about the item level of the new Relic step. However, a user on r/ffxiv noticed that the French patch notes indicated that they may indeed be i24o.

What are you most looking forward to when the servers go live tomorrow?

Preliminary 3.3 Patch notes are live!
