Little Ladies day event coming soon!

little_ladies_day2016

Little ladies’ day is approaching in Eorzea once more. Always a fun collaborative event, this year’s version appears to have the same server-wide interaction as previous years.

“A reporter for the Mythril Eye is writing a column on the Songbirds, an up-and-coming troupe of troubadours, and seeks the opinions of adventurers to complete his work. Those who would know more of this new singing sensation are encouraged to seek him out.”

The event starts February 26th and runs through March 10th. Read more about it on the Lodestone.

New Primal Mounts confirmed for 3.2

From an FFXIV JP developer’s blog post:

ravanamount

“Hello!

This is Project Manager M here.

Have you all been fighting the Extreme Primals?

Patch 3.2 will add mounts as rewards for the Extreme Primal fights introduced in Heavensward.

This time the mounts will be birds!

Additionally, there will also be mounts for Thordan and Sephirot.

Hmm? Of course, it is decided based on who wins the roll!

I didn’t finish collecting all the horses but…

If all the different kinds of bird mounts are collected, do you think something good will happen again…?

Patch 3.2 is set to be released next week on the 23rd of February (Tuesday).

Try your best to win your NEED rolls, everybody!

Project Manager M”

Mentor system and Hall of the Novice preview

Adding to the number of previews we have seen this week, SE gives us a glimpse at the Hall of the Novice and the Mentor system slated for release in Patch 3.2 on February 23rd.

Hall of the Novice
The Hall of the Novice is a new series of challenges designed to prepare new adventurers for the rigors of party combat.
– Entry Requirements
Upon reaching level 15 with at least one Disciple of War or Magic, players can speak with the Smith NPC located at the Adventurers’ Guild in each city and several other locations.
– Types of Training
Players can undertake several training exercises depending on the role of their current class or job.
– Rewards
Upon successfully completing a training exercise, speak with the nearby attendant to receive a reward.
Mentor System
The mentor system provides more experienced players a means to offer advice and guidance to newer players.– What is a mentor?
Mentors are veteran players who chose to offer their time and experience to help guide new adventurers. To facilitate their assistance, mentors will gain access to a special chat channel as well as a means to easily register for duties and trials with new players.
– Mentor Requirements
To qualify to become a mentor, players must first have earned certain achievements. There are two sets of prerequisites, one for Disciples of War and Magic, and one for Disciples of the Hand and Land. After earning the required achievements for either set, speak with one of the Smiths to become a mentor.
